OT- Rabid fox across the street!!

Hey hey!
Cops love my neighborhood. College kids and bars one block away means blue lights don't phase me anymore. But when one was driving up in my neighbor's yard, I had to check it out. Out comes waddling a skinny fox. Cops shined their flashlights on it until it ran behind the house across the street. It was behaving very strangely and not afraid of people at all.

Great. No more open doors or letting the dog unsupervised in the backyard for a while.

Stay safe and keep away from the fox.  We went through a phase of rabid skunks a couple years ago.  Nervous every time I let the dog out.

Salado PD had to shoot one in my drive. Then I had to buy several gal's of bleach and pore where he tossed his slobber..

  • Mick,

Never been told and just checked with a friend that hunts them. Also a first for him and the hogs. But, fox and skunks are a real problem here with rabies.
