1st spatchcock chicken

It's been a crazy weekend and this is the first chance I've had in two weeks to even look at my new egg. So spatchcock chicken here we go. I'm following also verbatim the naked whiz's recipe: http://www.nakedwhiz.com/spatch.htm
I've only tweaked it slightly: no wood chips and the addition of pepper and paprika to the rub, along with his reccommeded Montreal seasoning. So here we go...

This kind of chicken cook is so easy. 350 direct for 1 hour and it so juicy and good when it comes off.

It really is a great way to cook chicken. Congrats and welcome to the spatchcock club. I have some leftover spatchcock in the fridge right now that I want to turn into chicken and rice. It's amazing right of the grill and makes really nice leftovers.CheersB_BFinally back in the Badger State!
