does anybody know of a controller that works on battery that monitors pit temp and food temp I have a DigiQ dx2 that I love but it needs power I'm hoping to find something like the DigiQ dx2 that runs on battery to bring with me to Eggtoberfest because no power at work station any help would be appreciated

Most all those use converters that knock 110AC back down to 12DC. I have used this auto battery jump starter for power for at least 12 years now. Even after 30 hours it still has enough umph to drive my BBQ Guru. Re-gasketing America one yard at a time. -
