OK, so I have been gone for a while and need help finding a gasket
What is the best gasket now and where do I order one for a large.
The oilfield has taken me to many new places and I had gotten out of the habit of posting but still cooking and shooting!

At Cat seller: I shoot clays mostly around Houston and at the Nationals when I am off. I try to shoot 3 to 4 times a week when I am off. I normally work 28 on and 28 off in the oilfield so I do get some shooting in. Thanks for asking. I will be going with a rutland.

This is not the site you have been coming back to all these years. This is the new new corporate forum. Want to "go home"? www.greeneggers.comRe-gasketing America one yard at a time.

I have to disagree with you RRP. This site is way nicer and easier to navigate than green eggers.Peachtree City, Ga Large BGE -
That's fine...and we can be civil and agree to disagree! I just know him and he has been around for a long time so I was trying to explain the difference that he saw.Re-gasketing America one yard at a time.

I have the woven ceramic Cotronics ones if you need one.
-
@stlcharcoal- Are those the same as the nomex gaskets? From all the pics I could find they look the same I just wasn't sure. After my gasket fried the mothership sent a new (non-stick) nomex and I havn't put it on yet because it seemed like a pain! If different do they install the same as nomex? Are they pre glued on one side? How much?
-
They're not Nomex, they're woven ceramic. Nomex is just a fire resistant fabric and will break down. Ceramic is an insulator and will not (nor absorb water).
I've tried the adhesive backed stuff, but the glue doesn't hold up. You have to use Permatex Ultra Copper or 3M Super 77 like on the Rutland gaskets.
$14 for the Large (just one length since you only need it on the bottom half.)
Send me an email through my website as that's the only way I can keep organized.

@stlcharcoal, if it's not violating etiquette here (sure shouldn't be), will you please post your website addy?

Thanks RRP and Eggcelsior. I will order now and go back and try the other web site. I did not think it had changed this much!
