Steak Question: Can I Save for Later?

I put a heavy coat of salt on some filets this morning in preparation for grilling this evening. They have been hanging out in the fridge since.
Life has happened and we won't be home this evening for dinner now. Can I foodsave the steaks and cook next weekend? If so, should I rinse the salt off?
Thanks.

I would brush most of the salt off. Don't rinse. I would put them on a rack in the fridge for the week. European chefs bury steaks in salt for up to 3 days...maybe longer.
