First few cooks
New Egg owner, wife and kids took a trip to London, I chose not to go and get an Egg instead. Having a great time cooking on it and thought I would share some of my first few cooks. I have spent much time on this forum and on YouTube watching/learning and can tell I will have no trouble finding help when needed ( positive I will at some point) so thanks in advance. First night I did the pork tenderloin, second night I did the Chicken, then did a couple nights of pork steaks and my last cook was last night and was my first ever attempt at ribs. They were spare ribs and I was very pleased for my first attempt. They were not fall off the bone (I was hurried to get dinner on the table) but still tender enough for me (not usually a rib fan) to enjoy them. I will definitely work on doing these better. Anyway wanted to say hello and I look forward to learning and sharing on this forum.

Do you weigh just south of 400 lbs :-t that is a lot of food by yourself man. But very nice food, you are going to enjoy this new hobby.Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Plus a couple Pit Boss Pellet Smokers.

It all sounds pretty good. BTW, IMO "fall off the bone" ribs is not really what you want. I prefer ribs where the meat stays on the bone but comes off cleanly; with very little effort.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------Well, "spa-Peggy" is kind of like spaghetti. I'm not sure what Peggy does different, if anything. But it's the one dish she's kind of made her own.____________________Aurora, Ontario, Canada

Welcome aboard-congrats on jumping right in. And you are quite lucky to have a SWMBO that gave you the BGE option instead of the mandatory fun trip! Enjoy the journey!Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.
