We hope you all got to celebrate those tasty food holidays last week, we sure enjoyed them! We are even more excited about the beginning of fall, for so many reasons, but mainly for experiencing the cool, crisp air while being outside cooking up the best recipes the season has to offer. Salmon in the rain (pics)!

Had been planning all week for a cedar planked salmon cook and looking forward to tonight.  Major cold rain came in mid-day and almost caused me to wuss on the whole deal.....but was inspired by all the other posters cooking in worse weather than this.  So, stopped by Lowe's and picked up a chimney cover then headed out into it - rain be damned!  Did a nice cedar planked salmon with honey-mustard marinade and followed it up with planked, braised pairs with honey and blue cheese.  Egg handled the elements better than the chef - excellent cook all the way around!imageimageimage
