Will a large egg fit in the trunk of a full size car?

Hi All,
I will be coming to the egg fest in Salado and will be buying our first egg there. I am very eggcited! My question is would a large egg fit in the trunk of a car or should I borrow a truck from someone? This will be a full size car (renting as we actually live in NYC), but I don't know the model.
Thanks!

My first thought would be to seat belt it in the back seat.

Well we have 4 people coming, so we are trying to make it together instead of having to take a pick up and a car. Good thought though.

Trunk and twine? Not sure you are closing it all the way.Seattle, WA

If you're renting, get an SUV. That should cover everything.

If your renting, get an SUV only a few more bucks and very easy ad safe to get your new egg home_______________________________________________XLBGE

+1 for renting an SUV or at least some kind of crossover vehicle. Also might want to bring some ratchet ties or other tie-downs to secure it in the vehicle. How will it get back to NYC?#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX.

If you buy a demo egg and leave it lit and then put it in the trunk of the car it will fit-- will just burn the egg a sunroof and you will be good. :-\"Columbia, SC --- LBGE 2011 -- MINI BGE 2013

Good idea Chubbs. MrCookingNurse, I will be getting it, it's just I live in NYC, so I won't be bringing it back to my home, but my brother lives in San Antonio and we are there very often.Yes, I am the best brother in the world.

You can always leave a person there then have room for the egg. I'm sure they could find there way back to NYC . Lol

If it doesn't fit in your trunk, we might be able to get it back to San Antonio for you, depending on what vehicles my SA family drives to Salado.

I have a 4 door accord and the base wont fit in the trunk the opening isn't wide enough.

@BigOegg I'd look and see if www.fredsmusicandbbq.com is doing a Eggfest this year. They are in Pennsylvania so should be a much shorter commute and Fred is a bbq nut. Not saying to not go to Salado, lord knows I'd love to be there but perhaps you could figure out transportation for the Egg a little easier.
