I purposefully did not center the small egg hole. Didn't wanna clip two boards and I wanted space in front of the egg for maverick to sit._______________________________________________XLBGE

I really hope that's next weekend. I've got ribs planned and don't wanna do that on the patio ground. I wanna do it all right and perfect the first time before I put the eggs in it.
Never have put urathaine on anything so i don't know what to expect but I want a thick layer of it._______________________________________________XLBGE -
I totally agree. I thought at first that I could keep my mates (fold up shelves) clean all the time....YEAH, let me tell you how that worked out.
Do whatever... to prevent problems in the future.

Get the feel for the urethane by practicing on scrap wood. Good brush or roller are the most important. Table looks great. ;;)Every day is a bonus day and every meal is a banquet in Winter Springs, Fl !

Ha yea it's taken a lot longer than I'd expected. I went with the Olympic stains you had but didn't want solid color so I used the one below called tonor. It lets the wood come threw._______________________________________________XLBGE

Looks awesome buddy. I like the hand-finished ends.

Very nice, great color stain!

Gx4 is correct. Buy the best brush you can. If you clean it well it'll last forever. Keep a wet edge or corner to corner when applying. Thin the first coat, second a little less, so on....quickly brush your area and then smooth it out. If you get a run and it's wet or setting up...leave it alone. You can remove it easier when it's dry...not cured, just dry.

@henappledo you mean cut it with some paint thinner?_______________________________________________XLBGE

Yes, that would work. I forgot to add to sand between coats. Maybe 120 grit and then 220 between coat 2 and 3.Green egg, dead animal and alcohol. The "Boro".. TN

Over the years I have done a lot of furniture staining and refinishing. Along with good brushes and rollers is a good product to work with and I found Benjamin Moore and Sherman williams to be the best source of information and the best products. I have used home depot, min wax, and lowes products with some success but still prefer BM and SW. Good product good results. ;;)Every day is a bonus day and every meal is a banquet in Winter Springs, Fl !

Nice! What did you use to get the hand finished ends on the boards to look so good?
Gittin' there...
