Just a quick cook tonight. Going to the inlaws and I don't want pizza. So, I'm doing a little beef instead and will have a steak salad sort of thing later...

That is not nice. I am sitting here at work and you are Egging and more importantly enjoying a nice cigar and refreshments.
Let us know how the LB turns out. Still trying to find a way to make one that is good and taste like anything but basic london broil.

Looks like you have the weekend off to a good start!! Be careful with your drink, "alcohol makes your ice melt fast" --- do you fill the glass up with ice before you fill it up??? You are almost out of ice!! >-
-
LOL!!!
Red Stag good. Montreal Steak seasoning for the rub.
Doing down low on CI and the moving it up to finish.

I thought you did it in reverse for the sear?? Cook it about 15 degrees from finish temperature then sear it?? Guess either way will work??

I've never done the reverse sear.., always sear first and ask questions later.Charlie tuna said:I thought you did it in reverse for the sear?? Cook it about 15 degrees from finish temperature then sear it?? Guess either way will work??

Thanks guys... fairly easy to do. I have marinated them in the past for an overnight soak before grilling them. Sliced thin, they always seem pretty tender and plenty of flavor. This time didn't have time for the soak, so I just loaded it up with some Montreal and let it sit for about 2 hours before throwing it on.
A little over 3 pounds, I think this piece of Choice Top Round was just under $10... Not a bad return for the $$$
