large vs XL temp control

For those of you that have both do you find that the XL is easier to control temp on and recovers faster than your large . i've only had my XL for a week but it seems to be easier to maintain temp and recovers faster than my large

I found them to be about the same on recovery, and both are easy to control. While fundamentally the same, they are very different grills. The XL's design make airflow problems much less likely, and that might explain the difference you are seeing.
