I consider the BGE my best buy so far. I'd include the after-market stuff that has run the cost past my wife's high-end convection oven/stove. I've had custom bicycles; sea kayaks; rowing shells; a sail boat; rods and reels a-plenty; firearms of all sorts; motorcycles and motor-scooters from little to big; and various and sundry other "guy stuff". The BGE has provided more satisfaction per week than any of that stuff. We eat every day! The after-market from adjustable rigs to swing racks to thermometers to meat grinders is an endless interest. This puppy ranks high in my life. If you've had one for a few cooks how does it rank in yours?
My actuary says I'm dead.

Hands down my best purchase ever. Bought my large BGE a year ago, and I haven't gone a week without cooking on it. Nothing better that getting that smoke rolling and opening a cold one....it's become such a passion for me.

Great post. Bargain relative to most anything in regard to functional use. I love it!
