When it hits July - I know in August the gridiron action starts.    Bittersweet - I love college football - but that also means summer is drawing to a close once it starts.

Go Hogs GO.......   Whoooooooo Piggggggssssss  Soieeeeeeeee

I had a small that fell through my grasp. Working on the wife to just let me buy a new one for tailgating. ;)

Guns and grills. For some reason my wife thinks the only thing you need more than one of is black shoes.

    Go LSU!

Oh yah, I almost forgot. 21-0 or something like that, right? Just kidding. Tigers are going to be a beast this year again. Can't wait for that game.

Not much into college ball....if I had to pick, it would be The Fightin' Irish.  Good memories watching Lou Holtz at the helm with my dad(huge ND fan).

Ready to go in our yahoo fantasy league(NFL), registered today.

    B-)

Da Bears made some moves this offseason....Michael Bush, Brandon Marshall, etc.

We'll see what they can do healthy.  May be cry baby Cutler's breakout year?  O-line is the only concern???

My fantasy team is seriously hurting, Draft in August, not looking forward to this year.  Plus I am from INDY so with the desolation of our team, I don't even know if I would recognized any of our players this year!  I guess except for LUCK, I would be able to pick him out.  Indy is still crying over the loss of Payton.

I like the Mannings  They're locals boys to NOLA.

Andrew Luck is smart and physical.  QB is mostly mental, Drew Brees is only 6'.  You'll do fine, you gotz da Franchise.

Tired.  Just finished working on new bookshelves for the night.  Everyone will be watching the Colts with the numero uno pick, just like they'll be watching the Hornets with Anthony Davis (and I am a Kentucky fan for NCAA BB).

I only have a large bge, so I won't be taking it to the tailgates.  I do have a coleman travel grill that I use, I've been thinking about cooking the night before and reheating on the propane grill.  I tried it with ribs last night and it worked out pretty well.

Picking up my XL BGE next weekend the 14th!

Michigan football and my XL BGE will go hand in hand this fall.

Can't wait to see how we stack up against 'Bama.  Gonna be tough to duplicate last year, but the team is heading in the right direction, quickly.

This post reminds me how much work I have to do before football season comes:
-build table for new large egg
-complete movie screen for new projector in man cave
-perfect enough recipes to get me through football season
-find a way to transport the egg for tailgaiting (a mini or small won't do enough for our large group)
-find recipes to cook each week related to my tiger's opponent

does anyone have a recipe for elephant?

    SEC West Rules...........

Get the colors out - almost time to fly the flags.    We should have a thread dedicated to Tailgatign with the Egg...

Not planning on taking an Egg to any games - but will probably do some Friday night cooks, that get carried out in FTC....

Maybe, take a brisket out, lite one of the cheap Hibachi's from Wally World, lay a 12 pounder across it.   Wait for people to ask --"How did you cook that brisket on that little grill?"
