A friend of mine's Dad is going to be selling his Egg. He's used it 5 times but can't get the hang of it. I offered advice when asked, told her to direct him here and even suggested my website, but you know how some old people can be. I don't think he ever did, so now he wants to sell. I told her to check out Bubba Tim's site for prices and he's asking $799 for it with a nest, placesetter and some tools. Buyer must pick up. So if anybody is interested, lmk and I'll send contact info. I think it will be going on Craigslist shortly as well. Bummer that he couldn't get it figured out.

BTW - never met the guy, I have no stake in this. Just trying to help my friend help her dad out. Thanks.

The warranty has never been transferable when selling an Egg. Does kinda suck, but that's the way it is.

You bought it? You'd be better off keeping it for your collection!

We've had our egg for about 5 months and already used the warranty when the place setter cracked in half.

If he did not send in the warranty card yet the new buyer can most likely just send it in when they buy it. Not sure how BGE would notice?

That's horrible! If people just put a little time into learning the Egg, it is well worth it.  It took me very little time but I have used charcoal my whole life.  I assume former gas grillers have the most issues.

Ding, ding, ding! We have a winnner! What's next on "How to pronounce often mispronounced Texas words"?

BTW...it does have those lil tables that connect to the side of the Egg. Ferget what they are called, brain not kicked in yet this morning.

Yeah, he is in failing health and his mind has started to go. We started this project a few years too late. I'm going out tomorrow to help him get a brisket on. hopefully he will come around. He's cooked hundreds of Briskets over the years but just can't keep it all together these days.

I tried to offer what help I could via messages on facebook (this wasn't a close friend) and telling her to come here. It was the common can't get the temp up, can't get it stabilized, tastes bad kinda problems. Seemed like he ignored my advice or wouldn't look into getting help on his own. Oh well, sure somebody will appreciate it more than him.

    One more.....Palacios....
