I'm living in Oregon and having a hard time finding Lump Charcoal and then when I do it's running upwards of $2.00 per pound. Any one in Oregon who has a lump charcoal supplier near them?
Have you tried the big box stores? Home Depot, Lowe's, Wal-Mart. Watch out, though, for the 100% Hardwood charcoal having the word "briquettes" in small letters on the front of the packaging.
I have a tough time as well. Not getting the Cowboy crap at Lowes, but getting GOOD charcoal. But the good news is you can purchase some of the best direct.
You can get Wicked Good striaght from Disti or at retail. Looks like you have an option up in Wash.
I have located very good charcoal at Cash and Carry stores in Oregon 40 lb bag of Mesquite for under $15.00. pieces are all sizes but very good product
