i need some help on gasket replacement. like most other i fried my stock gasket by cooking pizza. i know BGE has to make more money but they know the gasket is an issue. why they wont fix this issue is beyond me. any way i need to know what size rutland gasket to buy for my xl bge. is rutland the best gasket to go with. i have seen another high heat gasket its white in color. which is the better option?

I went with the nomex because of one reason the rutland fibers arnt safe the eat.I know you dont eat them but they are close to your food and didnt want to take the chance.I am sure the naked whiz explained this on his site.

I went with a High-Que Nomex gasket last year and it's still doing great. It was the only high temp gasket I could find with adhesive that installs just like the factory one.

Rutland on all four of mine. The last two I installed before I even cooked on them. I like to live on the edge!!

Your going to need about 94" for the XL. That's what mine took anyway. Here's my step-by-step procedure -- the post doesn't look too great because it was imported from "the other site", but it should give you an idea...Packerland, Wisconsin
