I've been wanting a BGE for a long time. In January, Barbecues Galore had a display model of last years XL with Nest for $999, and I bought it.
I've been using a Weber Kettle Grill for years, but I quickly found out that the BGE is completely different. It's taken me a number of experiments to get an idea on how to use it.
What would be really helpful is to have a newbie thread where experienced people gave tips on how to use it. I found the instructions and DVD kind of useless.
I will say that the BGE is a terrific outdoor cooking appliance.(I can't call it a grill, because it's much more than that).
I'm glad to be a BGE owner, and part of this group.

I;m sorry... but the search feature on this site is useless... google however will usually bring you to a pertinent thread on the forum for you questions. There's a ton of great eggheads here that have all of the answers... and if they don't they usually make one up, or discuss it into the ground!!
