Broken Damper lid

I've had my egg exactly 2 weeks and today the little ceramic damper lid fell off as I was removing the cover. It was a clean break in half and I can glue it back. Any suggestions on what kind of glue to use? Would an all purpose bonding cement be ok? I have Bond 527 multi-purpose cement that says its good on glass, china, ceramics etc. What do you all think or suggest. Ninee in KY

you can try that. jbweld is what others have used too
i don't think it's going to see truly high heat. any decent weatherproof cement should work. if it doesn't, try another

And they are cheap to replace. This is in case you're the type that is bothered by looking at brand new broken toys. I am that type.

Same thing happened to me. I was pulling the cover off and the next thing I new the damper fell right onto my concrete patio. Mine shattered into 3 big pieces and 2 small ones. Called the dealer I bought my egg from and he sold me a new damper for $25. There is a place online that sells them for $29.99
