Hey Gang,
The one thing missing from my shipment was a box of fire starters. What are my options, and can I get them at Walmart or Fred Meyer?
Thanks!

Go to any place that sells charcoal (Home Depot, Menards, etc.) and get an $8. electric starter, they work great!

I got my LP plumbing torch out of hybernation ... fast clean and easy!Never eat anything passed through a window unless you're a seagull ... BGE Lg.

I second the torch...quick, clean, easy....and the canister lasts forever.

I third the torch....very quick and easy. I have the Bernzomatic with the hose and trigger.
You should wear safety glasses though, for sparks. -

Found some Diamond brand fire starters at the grocery store for $1.98. There are 8 to a pack and I only needed a third of one to get it going. I'd call that a good investment.Egg Head in Klamath Falls, Oregon

I use a Mapp Gas torch. It will cause some popping and sparks so be careful if you go with a torch.

I use the cubes or other type like that. If I don't have those on hand I do the oil/paper towel method. No problems at all. I may get an electric one, but don't like the fire hazard. What if I forget it in there?

I got a pack of fire starters when I bought my XL. I cut them in quarters. The box had 24 starters. I can get 96 fires out of one box.
