So we had people over last night for a "Foodie Night". Four couples from our church get together at someone's house once a quarter and do dinner. I got dibs on summer so we could do somethin' on the Egg. (Of course, I would have happily been out there in February smokin' somethin'.)

I did six racks of ribs on my large BGE, followed by two spatchcocked chickens in a Peruvian rub. Photos of all that can be found on my blog.

My proudest moment came this afternoon when we heated up some smoky bones for lunch and my 18 month old was eyeing them, totally ignoring his chicken nuggets. I pulled off a good bit of meat and gave it to him. He chowed it down and then reached out for the bone.

Kid gnawed that bone clean! I'm going to start calling him "vulture".
