OXO Good Grips - Great Customer Service

So I have OXO's Digital Leave-In Meat Thermometer that I got for my wedding a year ago. The probe has a silicon case that is good up to ~450*. Well as soon as I got my egg I started using it on the egg with some aluminum foil to block the heat but I have noticed the probe case has started to melt...whoops
Well I looked all around for replacement probes to buy so I didn't have to buy the whole thermometer again but couldn't find anything. So I went to their website to ask where I can buy a replacement.
They just wrote me back and they are replacing the probe for free! Pretty awesome! It's refreshing to see good customer service these days. I also have an order in for a new Maverick so hopefully I can keep this new probe out of the egg!

Can't say the same about my hardly used, OXO, "good grips" can opener! What a POS.. can hardly open a 5 oz. can without a struggle!! 8 -(

Just for the hell of it I looked at their guarantee. Looks like they will refund or replace if you're not happy.
Might be worth a try.

You must have gotten a lemon or it wasn't aligned when built. I've had one for about 10yrs, works like a champ. -
Thank you! I totally agree, but I'm battling a few other issues that involve much more than the cost of a can-opener.. (and could I ever find the receipt?). Guess I'll chaulk it up to "lost, but not forgotten"!..
