Is it a good idea or a bad one to mustard and rub a butt, then refrigerate it overnight before it goes on the Egg?

Some do,some don't.I like to rub right before it goes on the cooker.Some say if you use a salty rub it will taste "Hammy" if you rub too soon.Try both ways and see which you prefer.

I never rub until I light the lump. and mustard is for hot dogs, not butts.
I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

I use the mustard method and can't taste it at all. I put the mustard and rub on right beforei light the coals.
