That would be my typical reaction but I learned to like scrapple long before I learned to wonder what ingredients are involved...not necissarily true of me today...but...if you cooked it...I'd try it..
-
Marc.. I always assumed it was from around here. That is interesting. The pie looks good as always! I never would have thought of it.
-
Not a thing on this planet I won't at least try. I acutally get quite annoyed with the 'nose turner uppers'. Scrapple...like most other things...if you didn't like it, it wasn't prepared right! (or you're a 'nose turner upper'! ) I love the stuff, and thanks for turning me on to it! Nice pie.

Listen to the man. He knows of what he speaks. Habbersett is really the only brand I buy. It's got to be cooked about 1/4 inch. It's got to be on a hot pan. You can not turn it until it is really crispy or it will fall apart. The stuff in his pictures is absolutely perfect - and it will have a texture/crunch that you would not get if you broke it up like sausage.

Looks awesome Zip. I would def eat it. Is that a good brand? All we have here is Rappa, but we do have the Amish we can buy from.
