banned from the new forum

I just got this advanced sheet from a reliable source of members that will not even be allowed to register let alone participate in the ‘new’ forum due to actual or perceived questionable conduct, inadequacy of height, inability to get along with others &/or generally poor behavior:

1) stike;
2) fidel;
3) steven;
4) tweev;
5) jagweed;
6) lost in Utah;
7) wessb;
8) poolboy;
9) stike; and
10) stripsteak.

Fortunately, I’ve conducted myself in a stellar fashion at all times during my tenure & attribute the fact that I’m not on the above list to that.

If you think anyone else should be on this list, feel free to email BGE directly and nominate him/her/them

heck, i already have 2500 posts there.

half those forum-handles/names are mine anyway, so it's really only three people you are talking about. me, and tweev and lost in utah. since Fidel is tweev and LIU (i don't think i am saying something there that no one already knew, right?) that's really only two people. and hell, and tweev is registerd already too.

i suggest everyone register now, because i have taken a look at the log of handles being registered, and it appears someone is using the same email address (with monor variations) to sign up existing forum handles

yours may already be taken.

well. if it IS the new forum (not saying it is, but it sure looks like one), a few days ago you could have found it by googling "biggreeneggforum". it was a page on some apparently unrelated nascar site, but had all the makings of a 'new' forum. not hidden very well, because as of last week it showed up pretty high on a search of 'big green egg forum", which is how it was found in the first place. pretty poor 'hiding' of the beta site, if that's what it is. doesn't speak well to the management capabilities if the new top secret forum is searchable and indexed by google.

but now it appears it is in 'time out' mode. not offline, but not navigable either. just a page to land on with an error message.

if it's real, they'll let us know at some time. if it isn't real, then it won't matter

even though I was enticed over there to the new forum by someone posing as "stike" and tempted in to joining... but looks like maybe I am being given a chance to redeem myself :blush: :whistle:

Big Green Egg leaked the new site and the new forum last week. Well they didn't really leak it, they put it on an employee's site made with Wordpress and they didn't turn off the SEO so it put it 3rd on a Google search of Big Green Egg Forum. They pulled it down pretty quick.

I imagine one day you will wake up and hit the EGGheadforum.com button and you will find yourself in the new forum.

It is nothing at all like this one, which some will love and others will hate. Change is never good with this group of folks, but life moves on.

If you head over to my site http://chefcresap.com in a few days, I will have my new site up and it has both a forum for displaced folks from here and also a built in social community, much like our own private Facebook.
