Mickey told me so...

When I talked to Mickey about the Salado Eggfest I told him I was new and had the large BGE. He told me that wouldn't last long and I would get another egg. He told me so and today I picked up the small BGE. My wife doesn't want me talking to Mickey for a while. This all came about from the Athens Eggfest and Morrison Supply, one of the sponsors, making me a great deal on the small. I really appreciate Jimmie Railey and what he did for me. As for Mickey, I can't afford to talk to him too many more times.

Tell her she's already in the cult and she will be buying the next one -- as an early Christmas present for herself :woohoo: -
I think a mini has her name written all over it :laugh:Judy

I'm trying to carve her name on the handle of the small.
-
She doesn't want to buy.....just eat what comes off the egg.

Listen to the voice of experience...you will love the Small for just two people. THEN you will get a bee in your bonnet about the Mini. It is Fate and you can't do anything about it, so relax and just let it happen.Judy in San Diego

Thanks Judy, that's just what I need to hear.

Congrats on the small. You will love it. I can see a mini in your future. The mini is especially useful for picnics and other day travels. I am getting a mini in 16 days. (I hope I have left enough hints  )Large, small and mini now Egging in Rowlett Tx

Johnny, Linda and I are just like you guys in that just the two of us at the house.
We have the Large / Small / Mini
No reason for getting the Mini also except it is FUN
Enjoy the small and get ready for the Mini :woohoo:
Just think; you could be spending all your extra money on a HarleySalado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Plus a couple Pit Boss Pellet Smokers. -
John,
After a few more visits, it'll all be over. -
Mickey, I don't refer to it as "spending my extra money on a Harley." Rather, it is called "wise investing in a depreciable asset." It's all a matter of terminology.

This whole trip, buying the egg(s), the egg fest, the people I've met, the experience of cooking with a new slant on food, has really been an enjoyable time for both of us. With or without a Harley, it has been fun. I do have two boats. Does that count?

Have to watch that Mickey. You got off easy. Now my wife wants a new Toyota Truck...
You will like your Small BGE.
Thank you,DarianGalveston Texas -

Where did you get get that CI grid? Is it on the Small?Judy in San Diego -
Judy,
It's made by Weber and it fits into a Woo ring that Tom made. The Weber inserts fit inside and the standard BGE fits on the outside as well. I really like it.
You can also drop it on the fire ring to sear.
Not bad for $28 free shipping.

We are cooking burgers tonite on the small. I'm trying out a new lump that Jimmie sent me from Lufkin called Fire King. The pictures of your cooks really look good. I hope mine turn out nearly as well as yours. I like your grate but would have to get a Woo first. What's a little Woo compared to a new truck? I'm trying to hold off for a year getting a new vehicle. If I keep buying Egg stuff it might be longer.
