So I picked up my brand new large egg last month and cooked steaks on it that night. After we finished eating, I started to pull it back into my garage and the nest twisted and my Egg fell out of the nest and shattered on my driveway. I took it back to where I purchased it and it turns out that the guy who assembled the nest for me forgot to install the 4 inside support brackets. Needless to say, they replaced everything for me and build me a table for the new one at no additional charge! It scared the living $&*# out of me when it happened but all was well in the end...Here are a few pictures of my cracked egg along with my new setup.

Now that's a quality dealer!
-
Yeah that would scare scat outta ya... nice table!
-
So glad the dealer steped up and made this right.
Try and get some stain or sealer on your table or it will be a mess.
Glad all worked out. Now you get to cook on another new Egg.Thank you,DarianGalveston Texas -
Good for the dealer for standing behind the sale
Hard road to get there, but you will love the table! -
A real stand up dealer.
Seal/treat the table...I didn't and 6 yrs of sun has taken it tollLarge, small and mini now Egging in Rowlett Tx -
Shame to see that happen to a perfectly good egg, but glad to hear you got some great service.
It looks like there was plenty to salvage off the broken egg (unless it was used in the new one), what broke other than the base? -
Glad to hear the story has a happy ending. The table looks great. Now that it is all over you made out quite well!Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

Thank God it was on your driveway, and not a wooden deck...and that no one was hurt. That could have been disastrous. Nice to hear the dealer upgraded you to a table for his mistake. Hopefully he has learned his lesson about taking care when assembling eggs and nests. That kind of mistake could have caused much more serious consequences.
Glad all is well, and that you got a table out of the deal.
Probably ought to put the little green egg feet between the egg and the paver stone, though. Wouldn't want to exchange one disaster for another. -
That's painful, but thank God it didn't get worse, Glad it turned out fine for you.
-
Well, at least it was a nice upgrade to the table.
I would have cried! -
Isn't it sad that we are shocked when we hear about great service. Kudos to you're dealer, i didn't read all the responses, but if someone hasn't already, I'd like to suggest you reveal the name and location of your dealer. My guess is they learned the lesson and good customer service is hard to find, and should be recommended.
Glad your family is complete once again. -
So glad no one was hurt and what a gut wrenching thing to see.... and major Cudos to the dealer!!! they should get a Bubba Tim award for top dealer!! Hey there is a new pin for you Tim. I do not think you have to mass produce those though.
-
Sure glad you got this replaced.
Another great example to double check the bolts whenever anyone but yourself puts an egg together.

It is great to see the retailer really coming through!
Good luck on your next egg!!!! -
The dealer that took care of me was:
Hill's Ace Hardware
Loganville, Ga 30052
And Yes....my heart stopped when this happened and I will even admit that I cried a bit. But the dealer above went above and beyond for me! I would certainly recommend them for anyone even remotely close in GA...
