didnt take many pics but started the week with my first sebago lake brookie, only hear of one or two a year :woohoo:
look at the color of the meat and no, your not supposed to clean it better than that
had some ham and potatoes, yes its still chilly at times that the wood stove is needed
later on some ham and bacon scolloped potato casserole
steaked of some slabs from a top sirloin roast
some top sirloin for sandwiches
some ham for sandwiches
8 pounds of chopped chuck turned into chili
just one peep this year, i hate these things
one really nice looking brisket
was going good, needed maybe 4 more hours, set the alarm, drank some apricot brandy.
woke up to check on things in the egg and see it cold on the counter, had to foil and finish it in the oven :pinch:
i feel robbed :ermm: could have taken a finished pic but my finished slices where in the trash after tasting it, i hope someone got the point. dont mess with my egg, has anyone come up with a good way to lock the dome. next week a do over if i find one that looks like that one

Fishless I'm no biologist, but I can't help to think you might catch more than one of them Brookies if they didn't end up on dinner plates!
-
Holy Smoke fish.......and here I just assumed you were loafing while MIA on the forum. I should of known better!
Should of known a true yankee can't loaf around. Awesome cooks. Glad to see you didn't desert us. -
catch and release is an option, not a rule :laugh:ed egli avea del cul fatto trombetta -Dante

um.... the biologists stocked over 200,000 lake trout per year for about 10 years into the number one landlock salmon fishery in the world (one of three lakes with the native strain of landlocked salmon).the lake trout are taking over, the salmon fishery is in huge decline, along with the native rainbow smelt, the brook trout, the whitefish, and a bunch of others. my one brook trout will never equate to what the biologists have done to damage the lake     :pinch: lately they introduced pike to maine waters, the brookies and salmon have no chancefukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it
