Looks like the bands/hinge is backwards.
Might be a good deal and worth a email to a local.Thank you,DarianGalveston Texas -
The hinge is on backwards as well as the dome. Good eye but no big deal if it is all in one piece...

It even includes the "trash tool!".
If were in the area I would make an offer and check it out. Not difficult to correct the dome/hinge.Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg. -
I would but I just got my xl just over 3 weeks ago. The boss (wife) would not be happy to see another in the back yard so soon since the xl was a bit of a surprise when she came home from work.Glenn

Man, I would still make the call. If you pick it up cheap enough you could flip it and make a few bucks.Thank you,DarianGalveston Texas

No wonder the poor SOB wants to get rid of it. It'd be a royal pain in the arse to have to cook set up like that.

HA!! I was thinking the same thing. Surely he didn't cook with it that way???

I'll bet you $20 he did.... You'd be amazed at some of the crazy sh*t we've seen posted here over the years! One guy a few years back had his undies in knots because his BGE dome thermo wouldn't go back to zero(0) when he was done cooking! Another forum member pointed out that the thermo was reading the ambient air temperature! :woohoo: I don't think the guy came back around after that.

He wants $700 for his used egg? You can go to Waldorf and buy one new with a warranty for $699. Me thinks it a bit high in price for a used egg. Remember rule #1... :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:SEE YOU IN FLORIDA, March 14th and 15th 2014 http://www.sunshinestateeggfest.com You must master temp, smoke, and time to achive moisture, taste, and texture! I never like it when an ad says "make me an offer", instead of straight up saying what it is they're looking for. You know how much you want for it. Why not just say it? It just seems like you'd end up creating more overhead for yourself, by having to respond to all of the offers (most likely lower than what you want) and questions, simply asking for a real price.BJ (Powhatan, VA)
