I ordered a new gasket and I'm following the directions. I bought the acetone cleaner and scraped everything off that I could but there's still alot of black that wont come off with e scraper or the acetone. How do I know it's cleaned enough?

Is the surface flat and smooth? If yes, it's clean enough.

I burned my gasket off about a year ago and have never replaced it.
I dont have any problems with temps or anything just real careful when i close it now that its not got any cushioning of any kind now2 LBGE
