Shhh! Don't tell anyone about Salado

Please don't tell anyone, particularly forum members, how fantastic the Salado Egghead Gathering was. I know it was almost 2 weeks ago, and I know Sunshine State is coming up soon, so maybe nobody will read this, and then there won't be great masses of eggheads coming to Salado next year. So, in the interest of keeping a good thing secret, please don't mention how great the food was at Salado, nor how good the people were there, and don't talk about the fantastic venue we had, or the great job Mickey did organizing the event. I wish I could be at Sunshine State, but it wasn 't in the cards for this year. Have a great Eggfest, and please keep quiet about Salado.

  • Salado who? where? What?
  • I agree with the whole quiet thing. The less people that know, the less people that show up, the better my chances of winning another egg

I enjoyed meeting and talking with you two weeks ago at that place we won't mention. Can't believe you rode your bike that far to cook pancakes.

Next year, you will know when and where if you are supposed to.

Dang! I thought it was a joke that you rode a bike all the way from Pa. to you-know-where. You are right about Mickeys' magical "Egg Place" He should hold " an event" quarterly. ;)

Uglydog, couldn't agree with you more! As four month newbies, this was our first Egg event and we had such a great time meeting other eggheads, sampling wonderful food and experiencing the camaraderie. I would encourage other newbies to do the same as soon as possible!

Congrats to Mickey, Spring Chicken/Hen and Greg from BGE for a more than perfect fest! We had hoped to go to the OKC event, but aging parent issues are getting in the way. Hopefully, we will be able to attend the Athens, TX fest.

No fear of next years Salado event getting any larger than the 20 or 30 people this year.
The quiet, small town charm and hospitality would never promote a real Eggfest. Really just not worth the drive. B)
