I have a large BGE and want to buy a salt block. What is the ideal size for that size egg. Thanks in advance.

Randy there are a number of good posts about salt blocks. Lately it has been Himalayan salt blocks.
As I recall Ross In Ventura and Richard FL as well as others have posted some cooks with pictures.
Go to the search function and search for Himalayan in the subject area of the posts.

Thanks I did that but I just wanted to have some opinions on size and source. I'll keep looking. Randy

bees: 8 x 16 x 2 here. We had great customer service from 'The Meadows" but I believe you can find the block at a far better price. It has become a more popular item recently.

As a tip, they are very heavy, so free shipping will be a definate plus!! Good luck! -

Randy,
Mine is 8x8x2 and it leaves a little room on the large to grill something like veggies along the edges without having to remove the stone while hot - which, by the way, will burn through leather gloves! :(
Here's a link to my recent post on salt blocks. There is a post with links to sources.
