I am new w/ the egg and want to do 2"thick pork chops. Do i use the grill or platesetter? Should temp be 325 and cook for 45 minutes. Any advice?

Don't cook to a certain time...cook to your preferred doneness. I like pork at 155-160 internal temp, others will like it lower, some higher...and you can cook them direct or indirect depending if you want a nice char on them..The beauty of the BGE is there are many different ways to cook items, finding your way is half the fun.

Personally I like to do them direct and like Vidalia1 says, I cook to temperature. I like them at 140 but have trouble convincing my wife that it is safe to eat so I normally let them go up to 155-160. At that thickness, they will still be juicy.
