Watch out where the puppy goes and don't you eat that yellow snow.

Now that's funny! I was just talking to my Mom and she said they were supposed to get snow. My parents live in Tucson(Marana actually).

Marana has the Accenture match play golf tournament going on, this will probably melt in time for them to tee off. -RP

My Mom was saying that, it is right across the street from their house. She was also saying that they were talking about canceling for today due to the snow and winds. I lived in Marana for two years and it only snowed once(only a light dusting).

Pics look really cool. Have to shovel my driveway this morning. I'm 6' and sinking into the snow at my knees. Second most snow ever recorded here in Minnesota this winter. Is it bad to hope for global warming?

Beli, this snow only brought the temp down to 39°, not low enough to do any damage. But the freeze we had a couple weeks ago was devastating. This is my lime tree that produced so many margaritas over the years, I think it is dead.

And this is my lemon tree, same fate. -RP

That is an interesting contrast to the recent picture in shorts.

I have seen lots of plants covered with snow, but I do not remember cactus being the main feature.

Holey Moley! I'm no fan of snow either...hurry spring! Saw the pics of your lime and lemon trees - that's a shame. Stay warm... ;)

    Morning Randy,
We have snow on the top of our mountains but even if we don't really care for it your place sure looks pretty. Love the one of the pup.

Stay warm and don't worry our season is coming soon.

    Regards,
    Bordello

Hi to Mrs. Filly 4 Me please
  • Wow! Pretty pictures, regardless. And sorry about your citrus!! Only rain up here in the Valley, but supposed to change back to normal with mid 70's next week. Hold off on being "ready for summer" - let's enjoy spring before it gets blazing hot!!!! B)
  •
Your photos look like something out of the Twilight Zone!!! Sorry to see the fruit trees, they are almost like family, they normally last so long, complain so little yet produce so much and take so long to grow. I quit snow and ice many, many years ago. I don't think there is any going back. I do envy you your drier heat. I hope the day improves. At 10:00am it's 74º, not a cloud in the sky, just don't expect to get the car out of the yard today there is so much traffic.

Any more pic's of the puppy? You know how we are around here. ;)

I'll take blazing hot any day, that was some nasty weather up there last Saturday too. It was nice to meet you. -RP

So sad. Here in Florida if the temp gets below 28F for 4-6 hours they do great damage and if it stays there the sap in the tree expands as it freezes and cracks the bark and the tree goes.

Randy, those are great pics. The first one looks like a movie set :)

Those are some beautiful shots Randy. Here we just see it from a far in the mountains.
  • We also have another cold spell here in Fubine (AL) Italy. Snow is forecast again. However we will be complaining soon how hot and humid it is, in a few months time. Good luck with the trees, they might be fine!

Come on now. Snow in the desert. That looks awesome. Don't hate Randy LOL
  • Randy, escape to Ohio.....it's 55 degrees out today.

Show us some more pics of the pup before he grows up.
  • What kind of pup is that - we have one that looks very similar we got from the shelter and they didn't know what mix he was...
