That's what she said. -
Do not make it smaller, some of us are very old and need the full size.
Good looking meat friend....Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Plus a couple Pit Boss Pellet Smokers. -
Hey now, I was talking about the picture
-
Looking good Ashley. :P
You've got it! -
If using photobucket, go to "edit", "resize", then choose medium. Not sure what the actual size is, but the medium designation on Photoshop works well.
Good looking steaks. You have a lucky b/f. -
Hi Ashley. Those steaks look good enough to eat. You did good on your first photo. And as you probably already know, Eggheads LOVE photos.
Are you a LSU Tiger or one of those other Tigers?
Lots of us LSU Tigers on the Forum and one or two of the other kind. We get along okay though.
Hope to see you at one of the Eggfests one of these days.

Thx! I need to work on getting better grill marks
-
hehe I'm a Mizzou Tiger is there another Tiger??
-
OK! thank you for the info, I was like wow that picture is big, I was worried it was too big for a forum post and didn't want to ruffle any feathers by posting such a huge pic
-
Those look really good!! :silly: I like the cast iron grid. You can resize the photos in Photobucket before you post them if you want. This one looks fine to me sizewise.....
-
That works too.
The Oklahoma Eggfest is coming up soon. Be a good chance to meet a whole bunch of fellow Eggheads, not to mention have a great time.

That is the same size as most of the pics on this forum.
Nice grid marks on your steak.Happily egging on my original large BGE since 1996... now the owner of 5 eggs. Call me crazy, everyone else does!
3 Large, 1 Small, 1 well-used Mini -
TY! I'm just glad it showed
-
I think the grid marks looked much better once I turned them again, but I failed to take a picture after this one, next time I will take a picture when it is plated before my b/f has a chance to knife into it
-
Looks Great!1 Love that cast iron grid.More meat please !! :-)
-
Ashley, I think about my grilling surface as two sections. Divide in close to you left side and right side. Next away from you left and right. When grilling two steaks put them on away from you left and right grill for a short time then pick up and twist a quarter turn and set back down close to you left and right. After a short time flip away from you left and right then one last twist close to you. That is how I do it. It's up to you as far as the timing and I use a meat thermometer (I use a thermapen by thermoworks.com) to determine my final internal meat temp and pull the steaks or hamburgers off for a ten minutes rest. Just have fun and you and you boyfriend will figure out what each of you like. Tim

For better grill marks, try turning your cig upside down - the flat side of the grate up...I always use my cig this way for steaks and burgers...I read where someone else recommended it, and have never turned back after I tried it...it also works well for me cooking fish as it helps any problems with the fish sticking.

You have a great profile pic, BTW.
-
Thx for the tip, next time I cook steaks I will give it a try
-
Awwwww thank you
-
Good looking steaks. If you wand grid marks go about 1.5 minutes and then rotate 45 degrees and cook 1.5 minutes. Flip and do the same. All of this of coarse, as long as your egg is running about 600.
-
I never noticed.
-
Nice steaks
-
tim... what? I have a headache now.
