So part of the deal when we just sold our house was to include the Egg....
I know i know absolutely insane, but if that was all it took to sell a house for just under asking price it was hard to pass up.
Now we bought it from ACE Hardware and I think we probably paid more than most for it. I could be wrong.
But i am looking for any insight as to locations to find another one. Located in Raleigh, NC. We are going to replace the large EGG. I am hopeful that they sell them again this year at the Carolina Eggfest in Winston-Salem for about $750 used once, with egg nest and side tables.
I really don't think i can wait until may 7th though....

Wow that's a great idea! Some people add appeal to their homes by upgrading various parts, adding a hot tub, etc... But a BGE? Brilliant!

Go to www.biggreenegg.com.....and enter your zip in the upper left hand corner.

Your best bet is an Eggfest, if you can wait.
Check for dealers in your area and see if they have any floor models or demos that they want to sell. -
Have tried the dealer search only one in control is ACE Hardware around our area that I can find.

durhameggman,
That is so funny. Every time I have sold a house in the last thirteen years they always wanted an egg. I didn't think twice about including $4,000 in appliances but the egg...no way

Howdy from Raleigh. Ace Hardware on Falls of Neuse is a dealer. However, my money goes to Fire House Casual Living on Capital Blvd. Ask for Brian and tell him that Doug a.k.a. The Naked Whiz sent you. It won't get you a discount probably, but his face should light up, LOL!The Naked Whiz

THE WHIZ is here in RALEIGH!
your website is what i used to get everything going....cooking, table all of it -
Well, right now he is in RTP doing his real job, but he has been observed in Raleigh sitting in his driveway sorting lump charcoal, much to the amusement of his neighbors.....The Naked Whiz

Someone wanted to pay mortgage on the price of an egg?
-
you should tell them that if you leave your egg, it won't be under warranty. might be better to take that amount of cash off the price and connects them with a dealer...ed egli avea del cul fatto trombetta -Dante

Durham...I said the same thing "The Whiz is in Raleigh!" LOL. I used his site many times. It's top notch. Then to know he lives here too. Nice.
Whiz is right. Ace is the place around here. Even on the south of Raleigh for us. They have a display one in Cary too and I know the Fuquay one has them or are a dealer. Used to be BBQ Galore in Crossroads, but sadly it's gone.
Is that place on Capitol good? I've never heard of it. How far north of the beltline is it? IS it past 540? Do they have eggsessories or other BBQ gear in store and are they reasonably priced? I may have to take a weekend trip up there if its good.
Can I name drop too? LOL. I used to live in Raleigh near the 54 exit off of 40 or the Harrison Ave Exit off of 40 (closer to RTP and near SAS). Loved that location. I only get to Durham for the Museum and a rare ballgame.
Anyways, I'd try and do the Carolina Eggfest. IT's only a few months away. You can get by...right? Save the $. -
Andrew,
Fire House Casual Living is just south of 540 on Capital Blvd. They are south of the Bojangles and north of Spring Forest Rd. if that helps any. They have a lot of the Egg line there, and I think they also sell some high end gassers. They can obviously order anything. I'll assume their prices are in line with most other legitimate Egg dealers. And Brian, the store manager, is top notch. I've heard a few negative comments about service from Ace, FWIW. Good luck! The Naked Whiz -
The new house is complete! Large egg back in the casa!
I can already taste those steaks and the home brew!
