Brisket fit, a bit tight

Thanks to Bubba Tim for his guidance on getting this mammoth brisket to fit in my egg, he call me on the horn and got me squared away. Appreciate the help Bubba!
Check out his website, plenty of info there on cookin brisket.

I injected with beef broth and bacon fat. Rub is a mix of Dizzy Pig Coarse Dizzy Dust, Raising the Steaks and Cow Lick. And I added a cup of brown sugar.
Sure does smell good with pecan smoke. I hope I get some real brisket BBQ for eats with the game on!

A couple of years ago I answered one of those "HELP, my brisket is too big for my Egg" posts. I told him to just shove a beer can under it until it shrinks some.
The next day, the guy told me it worked great, but that next time he was going to use an empty can.Happy Trails~thirdeye~Barbecue is not rocket surgery -
Clay-That must have been one big steer! Good luck with that. GO PACKERS :woohoo:

I did that empty can trick and it works great. Now I just wad 'em up until I can squeeze the dome shut and let heat work its magic.

Thanks Thirdeye, sure did not want to cut this into two pieces, going for presentation and hopefully some pats on the back for a job well done.
Mammoth is in the plateau and laying flat now that it's shrunk. Anticipation, waiting,.... -
