Tri tip success

I am bummed! Took pics with my Droid of tri tip prep and cook. Somehow when I tried to upload them to Photobucket, most of them disappeared. But the most important pic, the results, was still there. Rubbed with "The Pig" bbq rub, let sit in the fridge for a couple of hours. Seared at 500 for a couple of minutes a side, then vents closed down and let it roast for about 10 minutes (it was the small end of the tip). Came out perfect! Also did some baked potatoes on the egg. Great dinner.
Bella got spayed this week, so not a happy camper.

Looks like it turned out perfect Teresa. Don't those Tri Tips have great flavor! I've got my wife converted from a filet eater to really liking the Tri Tip. I did the same exact cook on Friday night. I need to a better job of taking pics! Thanks for sharing yours. Love the pet pics too.

Thanks for the nice comments on the tri tip. We are lucky they are on sale here often. Believe it or not, that is the cat "coming around". She is our first pet, Zippi, and it is taking her longer to except the newbie. Bella got some tri tip for sure. She has gained a whole pound since we adopted her New Year's Day.
