Finally found some tri tips, and had to try Morro Bay Rich's recipe.

Everybody loved it. Even the picky 3 yo had seconds. The 8 yo said it was the best steak ever, and my 10 yo carnivore girl loved it.

Here are the kids with a neighbor. Note the 1" of ruler sticking out. We had freezing rain, so the snow was so hard the kids did not break through.
