For the ones out there that have a wok, how do you keep it clean. Mine gets gunk cracked on the bottom.

i have a stiff pot brush. heat the wok up smoking, add a quarter cup cold water and hit it with the brush, anything stuck lifts off like gravey. not much sticks to mine now, i think its because i really turn the heat up and go with it, in the beginning i would turn he heat down to avoid burning things, now i turn the heat up to avoid burning thingsfukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it

Thanks Fishlessman, good information. My bigger problem in the underside of the wok. How do you care for that surface?

i leave it in the wok ring and dont look at it  seems to stay oiled with stuff dripping over the sides and i might run a papertowel over it with oil if it looks like its going to rustfukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it

i think the more often you use the wok the better the seasoning stays up, doesnt soften, doesnt get sticky. mine sits right here year long, probably use it more than any other pot

Like fishlessman says, get it hot and use a stiff non metal brush. The orientals make one of bamboo.
Regarding the bottom, the stuff will get thick and sometimes flake off. I rinse in water only and brush both inside and bottom. Then place on high heat and wipe with peanut oil both top and bottom. The heat will get rid of the water and the oil will preserve for the next meal. now you need to get a bamboo steamer to eggspand your choices.
