A gift from our neighbor but, do I wait and and invite them over on Christmas Day and serve it to them?
It cost $2.97 so I would not want to wast it and an ordinary day!
I am not even sure how to prepare it. Do I take it out of the can and do a CIDO cook lid off?

Fer' what its worth, a fellow I worked with had relatives who lived up in the Ozarks. He went to visit, so they fixed him a specialty. Roast possum stuffed with catfish roe. Mmmm, he said he could smell it from a 1/4 mile down the road. So if your stuff comes with candied yams, you must be in for a real treat.

Hey Jeff, I got a big kick out of it anyway. Believe it or not here in town at the radio station they have an annual possum cook and anyone who like possum can go and partake.

Yum yum eat them up! :P

Tim, Save it for an Eggfest Afterparty!

Nah, wait and serve it at an Eggfest...those people will eat anything.... :woohoo: :silly: :pinch:

Wow! That possum looked pretty mad at first. :woohoo:
The peppers and sweet potato's looks good.
Thanks for the recipe. -
Good idea Brian!

Nothing wrong with possum or coon. Possum's a little greasy but eats just fine. Coon is a delicacy.
-
I know that is right Kim. At the 09 fest I had some burnt wings and they ate them up.
-
Other than trapping them and skinning the coon for the fur I never ate one. Least wise that I know of or remember.

is it me, or do i hear banjos?ed egli avea del cul fatto trombetta -Dante

you yankee elitist snob....broaden your horizons a bit. Banjo music is terrific.

banjo music IS terrific. for three minutes on a '70s variety show. after three minutes it becomes an unrelenting hell, mixed with images of backwoods bumpkins, hay bales, straw hats, and Ned Beatty getting sodomized.ed egli avea del cul fatto trombetta -Dante

You sho do got a pretty mouth there boy.....

I'm still waiting for the bad part

The opposite of "lo-n-slo" -high and fast. Spider, 650 deg direct for at least an hour or so should take care of it. May need to follow with another high heat burn to clean the egg.
-
Maybe you could hollow out a chub of 'Loney, stuff it in there and Egg it.
Hoss is bound to have another button to celebrate that feat! :woohoo: :woohoo: -
