Woke up this cold (55.5 degrees!) morning with an envie for ribs (in other words, a craving). But I don't have a good rib rub on hand. Help me out, what's your favorite pork rub? Thanks, y'all.

I just use famous daves I get at the grocery.

I use Butt RubSalado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Plus a couple Pit Boss Pellet Smokers.

That's a nice-sounding recipe...will have to look for some juniper berries, posthaste.

You could always just use the ole standard of equal parts S, P, sugar, paprika......then tweak it by adding garlic powder, chili powder &/or whatever suits your fancy.

black mustard seeds are hard to find but you can sub in yellow, the dark ones are better though.fukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it

This isn't mine. I had gotten it off another forum and have been using it. Good stuff! I tweak it some.

I have the black mustard (used in Indian cooking), but don't have the juniper on hand. Which reminds me: I need to make a Penzey's order before the holiday mail slowdown.
