Pork loin help
I'm cooking a ~8lbs pork loin tomorrow, I figure I'll do it indirect with a rub and maybe a glaze at 400* indirect or so with some hickory chunks.
I've go no idea what to expect for times on this thing though. Advice welcome haha
If you feel a little adventurous this is very good. Just stuff with your favorite stuffing. It may take a few hours indirect but a very good meal. I go to a 145 internal meat temp.
I do pork loin often, I cook indirect @ 225 for about 2 hours for 9 LB, and I pull pork once temp get 140-145 in the center.
Good luck and enjoy
2 hours sounds good; Will give a whirl.
Can't do stuffing, gluten free crowd. Well I could do stuffing but would have to get gf bread crumbs or grind up gf pretzels. Not quite the same!
if your cooking at 400 get it off the egg around 135 degrees and it will carry over to about 145 with a 15 to 20 minute rest. it may still be slightly pink but it is safe to eat pink pork
Actual stuffing sounds good but I was talking about stuffing it with mushrooms, cheese, spinach. Check out the link I posted earlier. You could stuff it with most anything.
