That is cool, but I have to ask - that must be AC powered and not battery - right? Also I'm curious about that room it is in. I see a wood fired stove, but also a microwave and wall mounted TV, but also a garden tractor plus a gasoline can in there as well. You just like to live dangerously or am I missing something?

Nice install and it looks like it puts out a good amount of light too.

Oh - I sent that before I meant to - I love that antique scythe and saw hanging on the wall. THOSE are cool! I remember as a teen trying to use a scythe for the first time and nearly whacked my leg off as I was short and it was long! Right after that my Father handed me a weed whip and I never went back to a scythe!

Fine, and I'm sure you are correct, Sir, as there would be no need for a table light! I'm still curious about that room, garage or whatever the purpose that has a wood burning stove along with gasoline storage and his other toys.
-
Guessing it's his garage. Turns the tv on if there's a game and he's working on something.
Has a wood stove to take the chill off.
But that's just me spitballin.
I could be way off. -

I have a motion detector light I use for my nighttime cooking, but it became a nuisance to our neighbors, because the rabbits, raccoons and other nocturnals keep the light flashing like a strobe light. Other than that, I thought it was brilliant."Knowledge is Good" - Emil Faber

So yes this is my garage. It's 26 by 36 and 1/4 of it is my man land. The rest is for toys and 2 vehicles in the winter!
It's a nice place to get away from the wife !! Haha
I'm an industrial Electrician so I'm always tinkering with something.
The light is powered off 3 aa batteries and works well. Cant wait to try it tonight -

I like your light as it is more classy than my goose neck LED. I screwed a couple fender washers to my table so the magnetic base would grab, but I could easily remove it to bring out of the weather.

@rrp, what is the spacer made of that is under the thermometer? Is it there only to keep the tip from heating whatever you cook?

The light has a nice flush touch button to turn on. I like it.
I had the stainless rod it's attached to.
I'll try and find the link for the light -

Sorry for the delay. Link to the light -
I also have the same / similar light (there are a number of different vendors on Amazon selling this type of light). Puts out an adequate amount of light. My eggs are nested, so I attach the clamp to the handle and then remove when done cooking.LBGE - St. Louis, MO; MM & LBGE - around 8100' somewhere in the CO Front Range
