Happy Thanksgiving all-
I plan on making a 10 lb spatchcock turkey to be ready in the early afternoon. Would anyone be willing to share from their past experience how long it takes to cook the turkey to correct temperature at 375-400° raised direct? I am trying to give myself a good window of resting time and travel time. Thanks for your help and all the best this Holiday Season!
Cheers,

Plan for Two hours, doubt it will go that long but will give you extra time if it does.
If it's done early, you can tent it in foil to keep it warm/hot.
im assuming your raised direct at 400F.Large BGE - McDonald, PA -

I did my spatchcock turkey yesterday. It was like a 12-13# buzzard. I went indirect and 325* and it took about 2 1/2 hours to get to 160* breast.

I cook 11 pounders 400/425 about 80/90 minSalado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now).

Thanks to all for responding! For the record, on at 9:45 AM, off at 11:17 AM with breast internal temperature of 170°. Tented in foil and kept warm in 220° oven (so it didn't feel neglected ) until served at 12:15. Amazing flavor, especially in the dark meat. Hope your cooks went great and you got to share them with the important people in your life!

My 16-pound non-brined spatchcock took exactly 2 hours to reach 160 in the breast while running along at 375 degrees.Stillwater, MN
