Another Home upgrade for the XL.

Alright, this is the last upgrade I am doing to our home to facilitate the XL, and I mean it!!!
I have all the tools I need to get started; a stocked yeti cooler, a wheelbarrow and a shovel.
i am adding on to the patio, yet again, because the new outdoor furniture we, (when I say we, I mean SWMBO) bought to upgrade with the egg, now uses up my grilling space.
Think of me while relaxing with your low and slows, while I am drinking and destroying.
I will post pics upon completion, and maybe during the process.
Pray for me.

Starting requires digging out about 9 cubic yards of an old raised bed, and move it to another location in the back yard.

9 cubic yards??? By hand??? Man you're going to new a new back before that is done! How deep are you going down?

Well, initially I was going to do 4" for gravel, another 1" for sand, and about an additional 2 " for the stone, a total of about 7". However, I found a system new to me, that only requires a rubberized mat of about 1/4 inch. So now I am going 2 1/4". If this works, it will save mondo time and money, and I will be one happy dude, if not, back to the pit. I have talked to a friend I have in landscaping, he uses it all of the time and gives it a lifetime guarantee.
    We will see.

It is working great this far. Pavers going on, and what should have been a couple weekend deal can be done in one day.

Back is ok, actually for an old guy, I feel pretty good. Getting a little barking from my ankle and knee, but at my age, if that is all that bothers me, I'll be living large and loving life. I did self medicate when the task was completed with a 92 Bordeaux. 3 large bowl wine glasses from a decanter later and the pain is not so bad.
Thank you for asking, and thank you for the kind words.
um, need dirt? I have 9 cubic yards of it.
