Very very nice. Where are you located? Are the salt blocks expensive? I have never seen them here. We do not get fresh seafood like that here.

We were in Ancona, Italy at this time. Ancona is a port city in the middle of Italy, Adriatic sea side. The salt blocks came from Cervia, an old "Salina" (the place were Sea salt is extracted), it was 6 euro for two of them.

I would LOVE to try fresh anchovies! They are supposed to be very healthy... before they are packed in a ton of salt.

    Another great cook, guys!

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

Plenty of ways to use it. Search the forum, YouTube, and the web. I like doing scallops, shrimp, peppers, thin strips of beef etc on mine.

All I've had any success with mine for is scallops.  Even then, they stick.

Over the weekend I tried something one of the BGE reps recommended to me last week, banana slices topped with half a donut hole.  Close the lid and let the sugar melt on the outside of the donut while the banana sears.  Tasty, but they stuck to the block pretty bad.
