I watched the show when it came out a few years ago. Fake, fake, fake. Looked it up and the main character is the town historian or something like that.

I feel it has to be somewhat fake, however, a guy I work with, who is from the area where Tim Smith is from, said he was known for his shine.

I admit I watch it when I'm working in the kitchen just for noise in the background. But...who believes it isn't fake? Why not say these are based on known stories, legends etc, but to go on year after year "avoiding the law" let alone making a mockery of the law is kind of silly!

There's a show on about street racing too. My coworker loves it and believes it's 100% real. It takes a lot to be dumber than me. He wins.
