Pre-Labor Day Party

Last night was our annual Pre-Labor Day party. Total in attendance was 46, mix of adults and children.

Here was the menu, I noted the items that were egged. I went with an Oak/Cherry mix. I really like that combo lately.

Appetizers:
Brisket Egg Rolls <----Leftover Brisket that was egged
Pulled Pork Egg Rolls <----Leftover PP that was egged
Shrimp Stuffed Jalapenos <------Egged
Focaccia

Main:
Beef Plate Short Ribs <-----------Egged
Pulled Beef Sliders <-----------Chuck Roast that was egged
Baby Back Ribs <-----------Egged

Salad & Sides:
Beet Orange Salad
Fresh Veggies
Green Salad
Stuffed Sourdough Bread

Dessert:
S'more Pies <-------Egged
S'more Cones <----Egged
Peach Dessert
Cucumber Lime Pops with Gin

Drinks:
Water
Lemonade
Yellow Tail Shiraz-Cabernet
Riesling Sangria
Various Beer

And here are photos. Unfortunately I was a bit slow on the draw with the camera and missed some items.

All in all, a great time was had. The Shrimp Jalapenos were a bit bland, later I realized I never seasoned the shrimp. Won't make that mistake again.

Enjoy the rest of the holiday weekend!

My first time frying with a setup like this. It worked really well, I managed 30 egg rolls at a time. Made all 60 in just 2 batches.

Only lame pics I got of the ribs.

Looks like a real good time. Nothing better than spending time with friends and family. As always the food looks incredible my friend. The pics are impressive as well. Glad y'all had a great time. Enjoy the weekend my friend.

I especially enjoy seeing that grub in the deep fryer! That's right up my alley my friend!

I see that you used oak and cherry. Have you ever tried oak and pecan in a 50/50 mix? Just curious on your thoughts. It's my personal favorite.

@Botch Thank you. We moved our party to the Friday night before Labor Day several years ago. It seems to work better for all involved as many travel/camp for the weekend, but don't leave until Saturday.
