    Thank you, it was very good. I put it on after the wings but I couldn't get the temp above 450 so off it came, added some lump and hit it with the leaf blower. Problem solved, put it back on at 700 :-)

    @GlennM your pie looks AMAZING!!! I just cooked my first pies tonight. I burnt the edges of the first one at 425* with the pie high in the dome for 12 minutes. Where was you pie in the egg and how long did you cook it for at 700*? Any information you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

    I had it about 3" above the felt and I kept my eye on it from above until it looked good. Maybe 5 minutes?

    Yup, you can see the pie perfectly (flashlight at night) and take it off at the right moment!
