Huatulco, Oaxaca end of year catch, what to do?

This is the last catch of 2012, a bit on the small side, but we were very hungry.

We did half of the fish at the hotel on the grill, it was good!

What suggestions do you have for the egg? Low on wood planks or sear on the grill?

    It looks like a blue marlin. I dont know anyone who eats them. 

    When my dad was a young man, folks would stack Cobia on the public pier for the shark fishermen to use as bait. They were considered "trash fish" and no one ate them.

  • Blue Marlin and by all means we allready ate half of the fish with a simple marinade of shire, liquid smoke, lime, salt and pepper on a simple charcoal grill. About 30 friends ate and liked it. I just cant imagine coming out bad on the BGE!

    I have seen them on menus in Florida. Quick google search says they are good eating but they have high mercury levels.
